A report from the group leader:
"Our visit to Legoland
Thanks to Legoland’s generous donation of tickets, we were able to take our group of children there for the final outing of their visit. They had a great day. Seventeen children and their leader, Lana enjoyed Legoland to the full, despite the unfriendly weather! We split the children into pairs, each pair escorted by a willing adult so that the group was not too unwieldy, picked a meeting point for lunch, exchanged mobile phone numbers and went exploring.
My pair – Alessia and Kristina loved the Dragon Coaster and Pirate Falls. Other favourites included the Jungle Coaster and Rat Trap. Some of the children were prepared to brave the queues in order to gain their Legloland “Driving Licences”.
We met up for lunch by the Miniland model of London, using the Telecom Tower as our landmark. Packed lunches did not take long to eat, and news of rides tried so far was exchanged in Russian and English. Groups reformed for the afternoon so that some of the more cowardly adults did not have to brave Jungle Coaster! We had planned to be home by 6.30, but the children just did not want to leave. We finally met up again at the top of the park for ice creams all round before heading off home…just a little late!" |
